Next season I'm looking into hitting the track pretty hard and I'm shooting to run a 6.50*1/8* before the end of the year. I would love to do this on my IRS if possible. I'll finally have all of FTBR's IRS bushings in a week or 2 and running prob a 27" bis-ply. Problem is I'm on stock half shafts can they hold 650hp with any reliability?

Yes broke7 went 9's on the stockers. Now the reliability  I've broke 2 the first 1 it wheel hopped and broke the driver side didn't let out quick enough, the 2nd, 12 passes later broke the passenger side no wheel hop just twisted it into but it had been prone to wheel hop from the first time. I knew it was just a matter of time. 6.50's are very possible you may need to take some weight out.

Thanks for that. If I could delete the thread I would, I've decided instead of proving a few buddies wrong I'm just going SRA. To many what if's on the IRS and too much weight to lose by going SRA not to do it.
