I never never owned a Vett and my wife loves our F430 which is a keeper for us, so want a new toy NOW!!!! and figure I should own a Vett at least once just for poops and giggles.

It is a 2012 3LZ Carbon Flash Metallic with Z06 CARBON FIBER PACKAGE and Z06 ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE so essentially loaded.

I am going to use it alongside my F430 for autox, but am willing to mod the Z06 for track use where I rather leave my F430 alone.

I will be back for the GT500 next year. I can hardly wait for you guys to get yours and stomp my Z06 into the ground in the 1/4 mile ........Steve

I am a freeking kid at heart and once I have a bug up my a** I just don't know how to wait. So I will give the GT500 a year to settle in and get one next year. I am just crazy thats all :rolling:.....Steve

Stupid question, why not just get the zr1 if your spending that much on a loaded z06? Doesnt that package bring you to like $100k? I assume you have $$ since you have an F430 why not just get the zr1?

It's not a money thing, but since they introduced the Z07 package, I get the performance of a ZR1 with an NA motor. I love NA motors. Yes it has less HP, but my ability to use all of it at 9.8 10ths is many track years away.....Steve

Congrats on the Z, that thing will be an absolute beast on the track. I'd take that over a ZL1 for sure.

I am very impressed that this has been a very upbeat thread and has been all about loving cars. I have owned 3 SVT mustangs and have loved them all very much.

It is really great to have a thread that is mature and compelling. Also I figure it would help break the monotony of the wait for those who are braver than I who have the stones to wait it out.

This new GT500 will be beyond anything that Ford has produced thus far and I can hardly wait to hear back on it from you guys.......Steve

agreed! my choice is between z06 and 13gt500. Just waiting to see magazines get their hands on the 13 first before i do anything.

Hell ive seen garage queen used zr1's going for 80grand, its certainly in the back of my mind if a 2013gt500 ends up coming out at 65grand fully loaded.
