I have five wires going to the new 4 wire harness due to my changing everything to suit my 04 KB/Termie conversion.

Anyone here do this? IMO the amber 01's look nice but I want a pure stock 03 look.

A guy I know put smoked tail lights on his car. At the bottom of the tailights were pieces that oculd be cut out for the blinker lights. Check to see if your lights have these. You might be able to get away without having to rewire anything.
