I took the tranny out to replace the throwout bearing and discovered a loose part laying in the bottom of the bellhousing by the 3 vent holes. It looks like a cylinder almost a 1/2" in height and also in diameter. I had this car since brand new and the tranny has never been worked on. This leaves out the possibilities of some previous work and left in parts. Did something came loose, should I be concerned. I don't have a picture at the moment, will post if needed. Pictures below.
thanks,

Both dowel pins are in the tranny. let me try pictures. It is shorter than the dowel pins and double the diameter.

The face of the rivets on the pressure plate looks very similar but are somewhat flat. I was able to count 6 in total. I will include pictures of them. Can you let me know if I am missing something here. thanks for taking your time to help, BTW, did you had the first clutch replaced at those miles?

there are 9 rivets that looks like they hold the pressure plate fingers and on the inside, I felt all 9's. they do seems to be the same size as the one in question (by feel). but all 9 are there.

Funny. ..I was missing 1 also

that's is interesting. Never found it? Hopefully this weekend I will pull the pressure plate and take pictures of the front side and see if something is missing. do you have a picture of the rivet you were missing? this cylinder/rivet does not look like it is broken or ripped. it is smooth on all surfaces. Hopefully once the PP is out, will indicate what went wrong.
