I need help!! Car dies.

OK, so for as long as I've had the car when it idles it makes this humming sound in the front by the intake area. As soon as I give it throttle it goes away.

I installed a CAI today and I started my car up and that humming noise is now louder and as soon as it makes that humming noise, the cars RPMs drop and it dies. If you give it throttle it will keep running though.

I took it around the block and came back and the humming was still there...but the car didn't die.

Anyone have an idea of what might be wrong?? :/

Leak in the rubber hose supplying air to the IAC.

Sounds definitely like a vacuum leak. Iac line like stated or pcv line at rear of and under intake manifold. Check all vacuum lines

and now it runs perfect again!
