After sendiing the news a response their web story http://www.komotv.com/news/8778052.html
I explained in a few sentences about the way the Washington DOT is partially @ fault for the death of a rider due to the road construction because I had hit the lip of the grooved pavement the morning before and litterally came off the seat and almost 8 it.
Well, they called me late this afternoon and wanted to interview me. They came out, I had a friend/fellow rider come over because he speaks very well. They asked questions alike "what could be done to make it safer for motorcyclist in construction zones. I think we pretty much summed it up with "better signage" and notification prior to the road hazard and not when you are already on it. They also followed me to demo a depression in one of the local roads.
Anyways, should be on line soon I would think. Hopefully this can help change things. Too bad a rider had to die.

I think WA DOT could do allot better myself. Even some cars get damaged due to construction in I-5. I can't imagine what its like for a bike. :nonono:

Traffic and construction is gonna get worse here on I-5 in about 3 weeks. DOT is doing work around the west seattle bridge ramps for 2 or 3 weeks coming up. AVOID that area if at all possible. There wil be times where only 2 lanes will be open, even during the rush hour commutes.
