I used 1 1/2" angle iron that was 1/8" thick. It was actually very simple. Cost me $13.00 in metal and the yard cut it to my spcified lengths. I borrowed a welder from my neighbor and drilled the holes. I put a slight angle on the front one. Over all pretty easy and cheap!
I'm still going to fit an electric set up from a 2000 Gt for the driver side but they are in for now. They are the Hunsaker Synkros.

They are from a company called Hunsaker.

they were $380.00 for both and that included shipping! Normally $799.00.
They have the tilt forward function and provisions for a 5 point harness. They are vinyl. So far I am very happy. They are very comfy. I did some research and I got these for comfort and style more than performance as I do not road race. I have a 38" waist and they fir well. I would say anyone larger may be uncomfortable.
Hunsaker went above & beyond by adding an all new performance features.
• Super Stong15 Position Reclining Mechanisms Tilts Forward to Full Recline
• Patented SS4 Suspension System. The Industries First Full Suspension Seat.
• Universal Adjustable DLS Dual Locking Slider System
• Superior Carbon Fiber Wear Patches
• 1 1/4" Tubular Steal Frame
• 5 Point Harness Ready Slots Built In
• Memory Foam for Maximum Comfort
• Durable Vinyl (Leather Look and Feel) Upholstery
• Universal Seats
• Fabrication may be necessary for some applications
• Dimensions 35" Tall 20 1/2" Wide 22" Shoulder to Shoulder
• Accomodates up to 44" Waist Line
• Lightweight 25lbs.
