I have a problem with my 01 cobra need sme help.

Ok for the past week or so ive been hearing a ticking under the car
Mainly on the right side.well I figured it was my xpipe on the right side
Dosent connect like I would like it to..well I was leaving the gas station
An it started to misfire an idle bad an now its ticking sounds like its coming
Frim under the hood. Well the check engine light started flashing.so I parked
It. Anybody gobe thourgh this?.

Pull codes.
Fix exhaust leak on the side you have issues with correctly.
Listen for sounds again under the hood.

Work AT a car auction an I check all the repos an stuff o ut before they
Run thourgh the sale..but its diff when its my baby.lol

White smoke out the exhaust..I was thinking it might had jump timing

Does the exhaust smell sweet? White smoke can be an indication of a blown head gasket. Coolant would be entering the combustion chamber.

Hey guys one of the spark plugs shot out an shattered the coil pack
An it messed up the threds..so what should I do? I bought a new coil pack
An spark plug..but I cant screw it in

Buy or rent a timesert kit and you will be back in business in no time.

Sounds like this is above you. You should take it to a shop to have it looked over.

Hey guys thanks for all the help! Soo I went an bought a thread runner
To re thread the hole..well that didnt work cause the plug wouldnt get started..im trying
To avoid the shop..lol

I would recomend taking it in to the shop. You might kill the head if your not familiar with helicoil kits or you can be dumping metal shavings in the cylender that will score it all up.

Simple fix for a shop. Simple for an inexperienced shade tree mechanic to grenade the whole motor.

you'll probably save at least your time by taking it to a shop. And we all know time = money. Not to mention you might just end up spending as much trying to fix it yourself

He already said he tried to rethread the head. Guy has no clue what he is doing and doesnt want to spend the money to get it repaired correctly.

I do know what im doing. But the thread runner was to small
So it didnt do anything..it jyst fell in. An the reason I dnt want it goin to. A
Shop..is because I dnt wanna get involved to get a tow truck..cause it wont move
