For the most part all of my vehicles have never had a high end stereo system, and I thought what makes my L any different. I dont listen to music loud, I have always deemed music in a vehicle as a background like an elevator music of sort, And no I dont listen to that crap I listen to high tempo stuff( Pennywise, ASG, H20, Strung out). So I have never required much as far as stereo goes. However what this is leading into is, I helped a buddy move and he was building a 73' datsun Z car and well that build got put on hold because hes transferring to Japan on the USS Washington. So his system( kicker L7 8" sub and 700x5 watt kicker amp as well as boston door speakers) was donated to me. Hence the sub box build.
So in my research I found a nice site to help build a box that would maximize the acoustics vice pure deafening sound. Great program btw

Highly recommend it for clean sound.
I will post pictures of the entire buildup as well as cost for the entire project. The headunit will be the kenwood 7120 when it comes out in late april( already on order).
At the same time I will have the doors off I will also wire up the auto down module in so I can also have auto up as well as down for both passenger and drivers side windows(already have auto down, Thanks Ridethe!). Heres the original post for the Idea of the auto down module

For ease of getting the module this is where i picked up mine. They came down in price, i paid 36 bucks for mine like a year ago. Just laziness kicked in and I never got around to figuring out the setup for auto up as well.

Pics to come!
Question for you sound guys though...
What would be better for sound vice smacking the back of my seat, A rear facing sub( pointing towards the cab with a buffer space) or a forward facing sub? I know that it would probably sound better if it was facing forward but the downside is the sub smacking the seat.
