Hey everyone, I'm in need of a hydraulic shop press. I'm going to need one quite often pretty soon and I hate messing around with driving back and forth to a shop that has one. I was looking at some from Harbor Freight, but honestly I've had nothing but problems from almost everything I've bought from there.....I just didn't know where else to look. If you have one, answer me these questions.

What brand do you have?
How many tons is it rated at?
Where'd you get it?
How do you like it?
Any problems with it?

And anything else you'd like to add.

Thanks

I bought mine for 100 bucks at harbor freight. Ive never had any problems with it. I built a 9 inch rear end recently so It was cost effective to buy one, the harbor freight one worked flawlessly.

Just stay away from their hand tools, they break every time.

I have a DAKE arbor press built in Grand Haven MI a copmpany that has built presses in MI for 100+ years.

Its rated at 25 tons.

I got it at a metalwaorking facotry liquidation for $200 bucks

I love it, its great for pressing wheel hubs from unit bearings and also for 4wd u joints and even regular old u joints in a prop. shaft.

I havent had a lick of trouble, it doesnt leak or need fluid added.

Look for a good used oneas the new ones start at about $2,000.

Something made in America 50 year ago is better than a brand new low build quality import.
