Have you seen what trophy trucks have to run to make use of 800 hp at the crank, sent through a 3 speed auto (lol), then to the ring/pinion and finally to 40" tires...while weighing about the same as a TRX? Granted TRX is coming with full floating hubs (which is crazy for a half ton, but probably necessary for 650 lb ft, 6350 lbs, and 35's), I'm gonna bet a lot of the power is gonna go towards to kicking up dirt and not going very far, cause I find it hard to believe it can make use of anything close to the rated power without blowing up the OEM driveline. Anyone advocating that TRX is gonna crush the Raptor due to more power has never off roaded from the world in which the Raptor was born. You're paying 20k+ so you can straight line race an off road truck on paved roads, with AT tires........ohhhkkkaayyy. If this is the type of consumer that Ram's gonna pull from Raptor sales, probably wont' see as many TRX off roading as we do Raptors. My prediction for the next gen Raptor. Drivetrain....irrelevant, as long as it makes more power and/or is more efficient than the current gen while not adding weight, doesn't matter what they put in there. Shock technology, probably won't see anything huge, possibly larger diameter. Full floating hubs?
