How wide can i go on the front tires??????

Just bought my 315/35/17 nitto 555r and i didnt want to go out and buy new front tires so i currently have some 275/40/17 in my rears right now wit 90 percent thread anyone know if i have h&r springs if those tires would be fine or will they rub or look bad...rims are 17x9

275's are good to go on the front. 285's is pushing it.

Do you think combination of 40 in the front and 35 in the back will look good or loom weird??

The overall diameter of the 315/35-17 and 275/40-17 is very close. That is a great match.

275/40-17 is the STOCK tire size for the front of the Cobras. SO I'm going to guess they will work just fine.
