how to make a 5.0 sound like a 96 and up cobra

i just purchased my first 5.0 mustang and im looking for a exhaust setup to make it sound like a pissed of cobra

i thought about
bassani o/r x , and super 44's
or
mac o/rx and borla stingers

any ideas please help me

I dont think that you can make it sound the same. Two diffrent types on engines.

The closest i've heard is a friend of mine, he has a 90 coupe with a pro-chamber with one chamber flows. :shrug:

Magnaflow or UPR X with Super 44's is pretty similar.

Prochamber/Stingers would also be a possibility.

Stock or shorty headers only...with long tubes all bets are off.

I have an 04 cobra and I have always liked the way the 5.0 sounded. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side.

put a modular 4 valve in it..lol my buddy has 302 with world cast iron heads 185 i believe with 202 intake valves and 160 exhaust valves fitted with 1.6 roller rockers and an e cam holley system max 2 hooker equal lenghths off road h pipe and magnaflow cat back in it....sounds insane doesnt even sound like a 5.0...it has an awesome sound to it.

Do a HCI and dump it with single chambers. So it sounds like its going to break the concrete.

You need to be trying to make your 4.6 sound like a 5.0. I much prefer the more Muscle Car sound of a SBF to that of a Modular.

Lets face facts, its pretty hard to find a bad sounding exhaust combo for a 5 liter Mustang. I recommend a Prochamber or O/R H-Pipe with some Flowmaster 40's.

I don't think you can. Different number of valves is the biggest issue you will have. I made that journey when I had my fox. Closest I got was an x pipe and magnaflows, but it will still be way off.
