It's not fake, this was on TV about a month ago. My wife and I were dumbfounded, I couldn't believe it, it was hilarious.

I thought you had to:

1) Land on the million
2) Win the puzzle
3) Get to the final
4) Win the final puzzle

to get the million. I don't think solving that one puzzle would have given him the million, but i could be wrong

Your close, you have to:

Land on million
Solve and win that round
Win the whole game and go to bonus round
Spin again in the bonus round and the million will be in one of those spots
Then solve the bonus round puzzle

Chances if winning the million are very slim
