I have a 12 gt500 with jdm ss cams built engine 2.3 gen II VMP 1 7/8 LT 10% lower. 16 psi 93 oct tune. On a hot day dynos at 740 rwhp 680tq. Considering a 4.0 whipple at the same boost level. What kind of hp increase have people seen? Its just a street car so e85 and race fuel not an option.

Thanks for any input.

i am going to guess and say very little gain if you dont improve your fuel-- pump gas has limitations just like your stock engine block.

Mustang dyno ?
Who tunes your car ?
The limiting factor on both of my cars is a build.
You can make good power on a 2.9 or 3.4 & use 93 octane, 4.0 not so much !

Dynojet dyno and VMP BJ for the tune. So perhaps the question is should I use a 3.6 for more power?

.
I don't know the boost limitations on a Gen 1 TVS, both of mine make 19psi, with stock upper & lower pulleys.
As you have a VMP tune, contact them & discuss your goals, I'm sure they have a plan to suit your needs.
