How much power for a 4.6 2v?

if i were to supercharge a 2002 gt. how much power is the block rated for before you start doing some damage.

is 450-500 possible for these cars?

a local guy around my area has pushed hi 02 GT up to 440rwhp and is not going any further. From what i have heard you dont want to push more than that. Stands for 99-04 i believe

i wouldnt push it anywhere over 400rw, its all in the tune though you should be fine anywhere under 450 with a good tune as long as you dont beat the shit out of it.

It's not the block you need to worry about it's the rotating assembly. I wouldn't push past 400whp.

I'm putting my Mongoose kit in tonight and I'm hoping for 350-360whp, plenty for now until I can upgrade to forged internals.

ok what other mods do you have, a 100 shot on stock motor comes no where near that power.

cai, tb, plenum, xpipe,cat-back,24lb injectors, tuned at JLP, 4.10gears.

The BLOCK can handle 1000 HP, but the rotating assembly can only handle the 400rwhp range with stock internals.

ok, i'm glad i searched before i asked, a question i would like to know is, when you speak of the rotating assembly, is it jsut the rods and pistons, or is the crank a pos too?

new guy here, just looking around,got 411 to the rear out of my stock botton end,2000 gt,been lucky,hopefully it will last a while,,just got me an 05' any hints on some mods to start off,,don't know much bout them yet,,any help would be great,,thanks!!!!!!
