how much did you put down?

I'm looking to upgrade to an 03/04 soon, if i was to buy now then the ones i like are around 25k (03 that is)
what do you guys put down and whats the payment?
i keep seeing for 60 month used car loans its around 8% (maybe itll be lower cause of my credit) i cant even remember what mine is now. but for me to keep my payments where i like them (around 260 a month) i have to put down like 12-13k
i just keep seeing people on here saying they put 0 down on a finance
12k seems like alot, as of now if i sell mine i can pay it off and have around 7k left over

I put zero down on my Lightning and got a 6 year loan at 5% due to my credit with my credit union. I paid it off in one year though.

i baught from an individual for 27k.. i put 7k down only cause it was a 2nd to be payin on. for 5yrs it im payin 400. i financed 20k + tt&l + gap insurance and it was just over 22k financed. i got 6.5% through my credit union with REALLY good credit!

My dad owned the Mach1 (with the bank) when he passed away, seeing as how my dad and I were into cars together I payed the car off and took the car from the estate. I consider it an inheiritance being my dad did say he wanted me to have it one day, (even if I did have to pay it off).....

to answer the original poster about a used 03, dont get a long term loan. they suck balls! its a good way to get upside down.

+1 on debt sucking - If you can't afford it don't buy it! The only reason I financed it is that I have the investments to back up my loan.
