How much boost should i be able to run as a daily driver in the 90+ degree heat?
Here is a list of mods
01 lightning with JLP stage 2 heads, Jdm built block, Kenny Bell 2.3, 60lb injectors, twin pumps, 160 deg stat, single electric fan, 9" lower pulley, and other supporting mods. I have a 3.25, 3.0 and a 2.75 upper pulley. I currently have a 3.0" pulley with the 9" lower. The air fuel gage is staying under 11.5 at WOT. I'm running 91 Octain fuel. The truck was dyno tuned last year with around 17 lbs boost and it made 601hp and 658ft/tq. I'm not sure which pulley combo was used. Any info would be helpful. Thanks Tim

I run 17# on my stock block all day long.....
Been doing so for almost a year now. But I do run 93 octane....
Heat, I'm in Florida, so yea 92*+ is not uncommon on a daily basis...

Put a gallon or two of 101 and the rest 91, you should be ok running 16-17psi, and 14* timing. I run 15psi with 14* here in phoenix. 105-110 degrees out, daily but my tune is richer.

I think I'll just run 101. They sell it at the pump here in Okc. I better go check the price first. Thanks Tim

101 is $6.85 per gallon.:fm: I went ahead and put a full tank of 101 in so, I could test the truck. With the 3" upper and the 9" lower i'm only seeing 14lbs boost in all gears at wot. Will i need to put the 2.75 upper to get 17lbs boost?

With my KB with cams and heads I only seen 16lbs of boost with a 2.75" upper and the 9" lower, in 90* weather.

you must have LT headers, I'm guessing.

As I only have a 3" upper and 5# lower and see 17# of boost in 908+ weather. But i have stock block and stock headers, stock upper intake.
