How many mods does it take to run 10's on a 600?

Apparently none.

Bike is a bone stock 2007 GSXR 600 and I weigh about 185 with gear (160 stripped). No strapping, stretching, lowering, etc. Little less than half a tank of gas and tires at the same 35-36 psi warm I run em on the street. Went 10.9 three times and also trapped 127 on the day. Best 60' was 1.82, although the 330' is more telling since you can bog it well past the 60' mark (and I carry the front wheel past the 60' beams anyways).

Me on the bike without gear:

Sick, did you get it on video or no? Where abouts in CT are you from

Central CT. Unfortunately I haven't found anyone with a video of my passes yet. This is the first time I've been to the track with any vehicle and didn't have someone there to video tape but I'm asking around to some of the club guys that were there just to make sure. There were three 10.9 passes so maybe somebody got one of them. Usually I've got HD footage so I'm pissed! :cuss:

Nice man, most newer 600's, meaning 2009 and newer should run high tens with a professional rider right out the box. Nice work

Gotcha, I'm right by you then lol and bummer, I'm sure somebody got it on vid. LVD usually sucks on test and tune nights, track prep is terrible. Spinning 1st-2nd on DR's, could never really get descent times up there so I don't bother going anymore really.

Really good times. I only managed an 11.2@137 on my '08 cbr600rr my first time out. I was too scared to launch hard lol.

137? Holy crap that would be an insane trap on a six. I'm guessing you meant 127.

No, I meant 137.

Edit: Apparently I only went 11.3, not 11.2 as previously stated. Sorry for the typo.

how the hell do you trap 137 on a stock 600...

I think I trapped a best of 125 on my 636 on a pretty good pass! I think my best 60' was 1.76..

I've never seen a 600 trap that high.. thats close to a decent running 1000

You are correct, just takes patience and a GOOD rider...

We had a friend come to a track day and started out running 11.3's....with a little help he was running 10.6's by the end of the day on a bonestock 2005 R6.

holy cow, never knew a 600 could trap that high stock?

It doesn't, he's either spraying it or Turbo'd....NO WAY it's stock!

*EDIT* If he doesn't have a power adder, after watching the video, looks like the track records the MPH from the right lane as his...

Nice job!

If that 600 that trapped 137 is close to stock then I'm guessing the timers at the track were off.

OP - hell of a nice pass on a stock 600

137 trap on a 600 is rediculous!!! thats only about 5 mph slower than what im trapping on my R1 (geared, exhaust, strapped, and lowered)
