The speaker grill just snaps on (I just went out into the garage to try mine). After you remove the speaker grill, there is a screw that holds the speaker assy. to the door. You also have to remove the door panel. I have the service manual on disc so I read the instructions. I don't know if there is some way to post them without having to type it out or not. If you want me to try to type them out let me know.

You don't have to remove the door panel.

Pop the speaker cover and there is a screw. After the speaker is off, there are 3 nuts that hold the mirror on. Take those off and unplug the power connection. It's really simple.

Edit: IIRC, to get the screen off the tweeter squeeze it where the grill meets the plastic and pull forward.

Squeeze it where? I am squeezing it and it wont come off. I dont want to break anything. where on the tweeter cover is the clips? What do you mean pull forward?

Where the speaker cover meets the speaker (it goes from like black mesh to black plastic). I believe it clips in on each of the three sides. You have to do more than just squeeze. You need to pull the cover forward to get it to pop off. Have you tried using a flat head screwdriver to pop the cover off??

The clips are not what you think, just a little bump into a groove. Pull the grille directly outwards. That is, try getting all 3 sides to come off towards you if you sit in front of the grille. They do feel like they are going to break when you pull on them but they do take a bit of force. You can use a screwdriver tip covered in a rag to start it but I just grabbed and pulled

I wonder why my service manual said to pull the door panel? Maybe they thought I might need the practice.

lol. I want to say the Hanyes Manual says the same thing. The only thing I could guess would be if you for some reason couldn't reach the plug for the power connection.

I was going to post a pic, but my wife took her digital camera to her work. :cuss: At least one response to your post said to pull straight out on the speaker grill. I just tried mine again, and I had better luck pulling the front of the grill out until the rest just popped off. Like everyone has said, it feels as if it is going to break, but so far I have taken the one off my drivers side twice, and it hasn't broke so far. I'm not saying you should do it this way, I'm just saying that is what worked for me. My wife is going to bring the camera home tomorrow so I can post a pic of mine (hopefully)
