How do I setup my xCal2 for my L, like how do I get the stock tune put on it? I can't seem to find my papers or anything on their website. I got a tune from Amazon already loaded on the xCal2 and I don't want to install it on the L since I haven't got the stock tune put on it yet. Sooo help me out!

When you upload the Amazon tune into the truck the stock tune is saved into the SCT.

Alright I just want to be sure. When I got the SCT tuner I remember some paper saying I had to remove fuses for the fuel pump or relay or something to set it, I donno...

As long as your battery is charged and in good condition you don't have to worry about pulling fuses just to load a tune.

And I'm telling you why pulling the fuses was put in the instructions... to prevent having the battery go dead in the middle of loading the tune. It takes roughly a minute or two to load a tune on these cars and trucks so as long as your battery is in good shape thats not going to happen. I've swapped tunes several times and never pulled them. I'm not saying NOT to pull the fuses... just that its okay not to with this L if the battery is in good shape.

From SCT's FAQ: "Pulling the fuses is necessary on all 96-97 vehicles, but may not be necessary in other years (although we do recommend it). We recommend it because it prevents battery drain during flashing, which may cause problems if your battery is low."

SCT has a great forum with tons of info/answers on their devices. SCT Flash
