After i come to a stop the idle will stay at 1000 for a second but soonafter drops to about 7500 rpm in neutral. this results in a rough idle and it feels like the car is misfiring. i don't see any adjustable bolts on the throttle cable so how do I raise it to stay in the 9000-8500 prm range?

U shouldn't adjust the idle to compensate for a mechanical or electrical problem. Try a new tps sensor first. They're real easy with these cars because they are the non-adjustable type, as aposed to the the old 5.0s which are a pain in the ass. They are also only like $30. If that doesn't work its on to the idle air bypass valve, but something tells me its ur tps because I just fixed a similar problem that way.

IAC is sticking. It will set the idle where it needs to be, If you have a miss at idle when was your last tune up?
