How close can the wheel be to the brake caliper??

I just installed a set of Brembo 4 Piston calipers and my SSR wheels didn't fit until I added a spacer. Now, it clears it by about 4 paper widths of clearance and just wondering if that's enough??

Thanks.

The wheel should never move in at all without the caliper moving with it. It shouldnt be an issue.

Or am I wrong?

im pretty sure that as long as it doesnt scratch when you put it on, the only way it will when driving is if the rim gets bent

You are fine. The caliper does not move, and neither does the wheel. As long as you made a full test revolution and it didn't hit the wheel you should have nothing to worry about.
