The Choice in Automobile Retail Sales Act (CARS Act) was just introduced in the U.S. Senate and has passed through committee in the U.S. House to protect consumer choice in what vehicle technology is right for them and their families.

U.S. Representative Tim Walberg (R-MI) introduced a SEMA-supported bill, the “Choice in Automobile Retail Sales (CARS) Act” (H.R. 4468), to prevent the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from finalizing its proposed emissions standards that seeks to have electric vehicles make up 67% of new vehicles sold by 2032. The House Energy and Commerce Committee passed H.R. 4468 in July. SEMA is now working to ensure the legislation receives a vote in the House of Representatives. If passed into law, the CARS Act would stop regulatory overreach by the EPA, allowing consumers to have the freedom to choose the technology that powers their vehicles. As proposed, the EPA’s rules would force auto manufacturers to meet unrealistic mandates driven by the most aggressive light-duty emissions regulations in U.S. history.

Yes I agree however it is attitudes like this that keep people from voting in elections and therefore lawmakers get elected that endorse the EPA requirements that we have now.

Whoever is running Biden has already said that he will veto anything that stops his green agenda including curbing the march towards EVs. We all know this won't have the votes to go over his head.

When the masses and blinded sheep realize that this is all about control, the numbers will not be in there favor. We must voice are opinions no matter what. To much blood has been shed to protect our constitution. It's our responsibility to keep fighting for it. FREEDOM OF SPEECH!! When there is no hope to change or fight for freedom of choice, we the people have failed our forefathers.

I understand what you're saying but keep in mind roughly 50% of our population enjoys mandates, restrictive laws and generally being told what to do and think.

Our hobby and ICE are dying a slow choking death at the hands of the government. All we can do is resist until the end.

I'll do my part, sign whatever petition or letter but I have zero hope of a turnaround or any form of protection granted to our hobby.

With that said I genuinely hope I am wrong.
