Anyone trick out their PC?

After I sold my 98, I needed something to make fast. So the computer was the first thing I came across.

Got to keep it cool while overclocking
Kinda funny to think that my pc has water-cooling and a heater-core. :lol1:

I wish I could afford one.

I dought it....any computer can be water cooled...hehehe....did you do the water cooling mod yourself???....how much did it cost?
Yep.
It can get pricey. I did my setup twice before I got it right. I would say around 400.
I can over clock my CPU by almost a full GHz (2.4 to 3.2) and the graphics card and memory are over clocked too. It was more the worth the money. It's like adding extra fuel to a blown setup. :lol1:

About how much are you guys spending on your comps? I want to build a new one and I'd like to know approximately how much one would cost, I know there are a lot of factors that can change the price but how much did you guys spend?

BigRick,

Nice. My wife would love to have that fan cover.

Downloads depend on bandwidth.
The advantage is speed in processing, on memory, graphics, and clock cycles. I play a lot of online games where you want the most frames per second you can. It gives you the edge on the competition. I've also got a SATA 10,000 RPM Raptor hard drive in there. This way I boot and install software super fast. I even copied an image file of my games so I can play from the hard drive. CD-ROM's (DVD-RW's-- whatever) are much slower compared to hard drives. So it only makes sense to do so. :)

VERY NICE

We have the same psu.
I stopped working on mine as soon as I knew I was getting another Cobra. I still need to upgrade the sound card.
Here's my sig on extremeOC.com :

I also have a Dell 21" flat panel monitor and a Wal-Mart computer chair. :lol1:
I didn't take many pictures of the entire setup. Just mostly the water cool build and the end result.

SVTgraham,

For a nice air cooled machine, if you build it yourself, 800 would be a very nice rig!
