Remove all the clips that can affect the passage of your bottom nut and washer to pass through the tube.

I used an old wire hanger to pass the fishing line that I tied to the washer and nut.

Fishing line loop around washer and nut. I made the look long so that you can cut it when you move nut and washer to the location under the outside hood bump stop.

Have to pull string and nut/washer from the large center hole across to the hood bump stop.

Line up the washer on top of the nut centered in the hole with a small screw driver.

Once lined up you can cut your fishing line off and insert the pin.

Insert the pin, I found that a small right angle flat head screw driver through that small hole next to the pin allows you to keep the nut in place and tighten the pin. You will know its working when you can leave the top nut in its place and tighten the pin from the bottom till everything is snug. You can also peak down surrounding holes to see that your pin has threaded through the nut fully. If not already apparent to everyone this technique for instal I did was so that I did not have to remove front body pieces.

Tapping off hood where drill will being coming through.

So to know where to drill I applied mustard to the top of each pin. I hate mustard so I used my girlfriends just to piss her off while she was at work. After applying it to the top of the pin lower hood till it touches and this will mark your spot. I did this for each layer that I drilled through.

That is just the garage floor glare next to the hole in this picture. Just a tip for easy clean up and not getting metal chips all in your air filter like I did :bash: put down some towels to cover the engine bay so the falling metal doesn't get everywhere.

Time to had the shelby pieces. Because of the lines of the hood the only way to make these sit flush with cross pins in them is to turn them 45 degrees or so. Once you have them lined up and have adjusted the height of the center pin you are ready to drill the 4 small holes through the shelby plate. Leave cross pin in place to keep everything lined up during drilling. Also getting the center pin the right height is a pain in the ass so be ready to want to punch a hole in the wall during that part.

Reinstal radiator cover and find the right spot where you like you cross pin wires to sit. I chose above the cobra emblem on the grill. measured from edge to get the same distance on the other side. These screws are not included in kit so I put some sheet metal screws in, great bite.

Haha making a joke from the fast and furious movie. But I do like that beer, and a whole bunch more of better ones. I'm Irish so you get the point.

Sexy! I love seeing Hood-Pins on a car that can back up the look. The Shelby pins are extra nice though. Good job and great looking ride man.

Looks good. The only thing I don't like about hood pins is that overtime if any of the parts are not stainless steel they rust. I put mine under the hood on the front part of the hood frame...

I tried to use all rust free hardware just in case. Hopefully wont have any issue. Planning to paint over those inside holes too just in case.

Clean Install man, Car looks good with those hood pins. Just be careful of the paint being scratch by the cable. Did you checked on Aerocatch hood pins? Those are the ones I thinking of installing in my car
