Wife and I are going to be at Vero Beach, FL for a week at the beginning of August.

We'll be staying at Costa D'este

Reason we picked this spot is since its in driving distance, is on the east coast (we've seen the gulf a million times), and its right on the beach.

Anybody in the area recommend some things to do? Any good restaurants?

I'll prolly be renting a kayak and jetski at some point. Maybe hit up the spa for a massage.

We know its considered "off" season in FL, but this is the only time we can really do it, and it's already been a year since we've been married!

There's really not much going on there, isn't too busy. Its mainly a retirement town. My grandpa used to live down there till we moved him closer to home to keep a closer eye. I haven't been there in years but don't remember much of anything that stuck out.

I heard it was sorta quiet. Thats sorta what we're going for. We want to have some activities, such as kayak, jetski, spa, musuem, etc....

We aren't really looking to go bar hopping or "clubbing"
