Home Ported vs. Steig Port

i am going to my friends house next weeked to do a home port job on my eaton. but i know steig does the best work. at the same time i dont have $500.
so im going with a home port.
compared to a steig port, how much less power should i expect to gain through a home ported blower??

any tips or advice when porting???

PM Viscious Jay, he did his own porting, there are a few others that did also he is the first that comes to mind.

There's no correct answer to your question. HP/TQ numbers on a dyno vary due to weather conditions, etc. There's really no way to know how much more efficient a Steige port is than a home port due to the numerous variables that may be out of your control at the time of dynoing.

I will have new #'s next weekend on my truck. I added a Stage 5, now all I need is a few cleanup ports.
