So while out for an easy drive yesterday started having some issues. The clutch is normally very firm to press in but it got real loose at the top and the car started making a high pitch squeak when i would depress the clutch. I babied it home about 4 miles and changed gears as little as possible. When ever I start the car there is a constant squeak now that gets worse when I depress the clutch and all kinds of noise when I try to put it in gear. There is still alot of play in the clutch pedal as well. So whats the damage guys?

throw out bearing is bad. the sleeve may be cracked as well. its a common problem with these cars. i need one on mine too. theres a lot of threads on TOB's here. Do some research and replace it. Its only going to get worse.

New TOB and get a new retainer sleeve. Just did it this weekend and it wasn't that hard at all, just take time
