Looks to me like the motor seized and the rotating mass caused the crank to break off front and back!

Man that sucks big time. Sorry to hear about that. What was your pulley combo cause those are some sick numbers for a stock Eaton.

I guess with the motor still spinning freely as you say, the heads may be salvageable, but I'd say the block itself is toast. Good luck on a rebuild. If you have the money, it sounds to me like it's time for a Whipple though. ;-)

holy crap how did you manage to do that? a forged steel crank?
sounds like something else lead it its destruction especially for the
front portion to break like that. you have a crowbar wedged in the front of your car? sheesh.

well good luck with that, lets us know if you discover how it happened.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Look into VT they did a great job with my bottom end. My drivers side head was damaged when one of the timing chain setups broke. It is still usable just mared up some. If you do not have the latest run heads I would get them.

Im looking into the MMR shortblocks. they look like they have a good customer basis and im leaning towards them.
