My 13' GT-500 is going into the shop this week for Whipple 2.9 and supporting mods expecting ~ 700rwhp - 720rwhp on safe pump 93 tune. I bought 1 7/8" SW LT's w high flow catted mid-pipe choosing the catted version because it's a daily driver and I didn't want to deal with lots of unburnt fuel smell. I'm in FL with no emissions testing so could easily run O/R mid-pipe.

Thoughts on which would be the better choice and what type of rwhp/rwtq am I sacrificing by staying catted? Anyone have back back dyno results on a ~ 700rwhp Shelby?

If I had some help I would offer it. I would also like to know.

Only con to the off road mid pipe is the smell, which I actually like. Don't have numbers for the comparison but off road is the way to go. Also, you'll never have to worry about possibly melting your cats.

I like the idea of less unburnt fuel smell if the high flow cats are only costing me maybe 5rwhp - 10rwhp max. Driving it daily, in traffic, drive thru, etc don't want to be choking. But if they cost easy 15rwhp+ I may deal with O/R.
