Need your input, I am thinking about buying a 07 GT and had some questions.
1. How well do they respond to mods?
2. How do they compare to the 99-04 gt's?
3. Whats the best thing about your car, the worst?
4. I cant decide what color black, white, or tungston(sp), and if you want to whore out your car feel free. :coolman:

Gears, exhaust and a tune are about it right now, cams are still very expensive at this point

2. How do they compare to the 99-04 gt's?

They don't, 30 years advancement in chassis technology, fir finish are far superior... but i still miss my '02

The best thing by far is the improved handling, the worst, quality issues with early '05's ( like mine) but the bugs are all worked out, and the shifter design is poor.

1. They do pretty well, not like a fox body 5.0, but not bad. CAI and a tune usually is everyones first mod. I would suggest 4.10's to go along with it.

2. Don't know. Never owned or driven a 99-04 GT.

3. Best - Stock - was the tone of the exhaust
w/ mods - power it puts out with a couple of bolt-ons
worst - brakes - I had a lot of brake-fade until I put in new rotors and pads.

4. Out of the three you mentioned I would go with tungsten. It's a different color that can look awesome when clean. Black is a sick color, only reason I don't like it is because it's so hard to keep clean, and shows swirl marks (not like Sonic Blue is any better). My wife likes white.

1. The best Gt yet, by far.
2. They blow them out of the water, 300hp vs 260. 13.5 vs 14.5 1/4, stiffer chassis, better suspension. Seating is far superior.
3. Best: Styling, performance, aftermarket support. Worst: Deciding how to spend my money on it.
4. I like Tungsten. ;-)

Last car was an 03 black gt 5 sp. New car 05 white roush auto. dont knock the auto untill you drive it , shifts hard and fast. great looks,handling,and good performance. this car stock would easily handle my old modded gt. my .2

1. Very well: Tune/Intake/Gears and your are into the 12's
2. Far superior to them, my last was an 04' huge difference
3. Looks and capabilities, internals only good for 450rwhp
4. All good colors!

1) Very well.
13.65 stock
13.25 with C&L Intake and 93 octane canned tune added
12.95 with BFG Drag Radials on factory takeoff wheels added
12.82 withSteeda U/D Pulleys added
12.69 with JBA Longtube headers and Catted H-Pipe added
12.46 with 4.10 Gears added
11.42 with Saleen S/C, JDM Stage II (10 psi), Fidanza Aluminum flywheel Centerforce D/F Clutch and Powerhouse driveshaft added.

2)Chassis is definitely improved.

3)Best is performance, worst is brakes which will be upgraded this year some time.

4) I love all 3 colors. I bought mine white with the intention of doing a 65 shelby theme but by the time I was ready to do it there were way too many S197's with stripes so I went a different route. The new alloy which is a little darker than the tungsten is also very nice. Black is beautiful but it's difficult to keep clean and everything shows on it.
