I am removing the passenger side valve cover, I have everything out of the way except for the fuel line Spring Lock Coupling. My question is do I need to remove this? It seems like I will not be able to pull the valve cover off unless this is removed.

I have the ford service manuel and it shows using a special tool to remove this part. Does anyone know if I will need this tool or where I can find one (the part # from the manuel is 310-D004 (D87L-9280-A). From what I have read on this site no one has said anything about removing this piece.
Please help

did you get them off?
No I still have not got them off. I decided to quit for the day and calm down alittle and try agian later. I may give it another go tommorrow night. I just wanted to make sure so I didnt break anything.

One more question can you take the drivers side off without removing the clutch cable?

Unbolt the brake booster and the small block below it to the front of it with the brake lines going to it. It will make it MUCH easier to get the drivers side off

Should I remove the clutch cable or can the valve cover be removed with it all hooked up?
