Shift Knob has the knob, adapter with nut, and boot retainer.

I have no clue what order to put these on.

Do I put the boot retainer on first, then the adapter, and then the nut on top right below the knob?

If not what order do I put them in? Does the adapter screw in directly to the knob or where does it go?
I feel kinda stupid asking this but it is kinda confusing with no instructions from Shelby.

Thanks!

Thanks so much for the help Alan.
I REALLY appreciate you taking the time to explain it to me.
Glad I took the time to listen to instructions because you are right if you don't know it is tricky!

Thanks again amigo!

BTW.. those knobs are REALLY nice eh? Color match the car perfectly and are made really well!

Can't get the knob to tighten where the gear print lines up properly.
I tightened the boot retainer all the way down.
When I tighten the knob all the way the print is off.
I tried this with the nut on the shifter below the adapter that goes in the knob, then removed the nut. Neither gets the print to line up correctly when tightened down.

Not sure what to do. If I loosen the knob any then it will just come loose.
Do I need to loosen the boot retainer or what?

I'm gonna have to use some pliers to loosen the retainer if that's what I need to do.
It's on so tight hand can't loosen it now.

Also after its ready to be tightened all the way and I know it'll line up, did anyone use loctite thread lock blue or super glue to make sure the knob doesn't come loose?

I've heard of this but don't wanna make it so I can't EVER get the knob off if something was to happen to it.

What kit are you using?

I screw the ball all the way down tight. Once it's threaded all the way down, I back it off just enough till the gear markings are lined up. Then hold the shift ball in place while using a wrench to tighten the jam nut right against the bottoms of the ball or boot

Ah, is that what that was for... *noob*

I just threw some blue loctite on there and locked that bitch down.

Yup...

1. Screw the jam nut all the way down.
2. Screw the knob all the way down
3. Back the knob off a touch until its lined up how you want it.
4. Using a cresent wrench, hold the knob in place and tighten the jam nut against the bottom of the knob until tight.
