If possible

"Sounds" like a rock bouncing around in the head. Car starts fine and runs, not sure how i can eliminate the possibilities of what it could be. Its coming from the right side.

I was thinking it was the a/c going out or possibly clutch?

Any help tracking this bug down would be a huge help.

Car is a 97 cobra with 98k and a new vortech v3 @ 8lbs (tuned). Thanks.

Could be a bad follower.

Can you post a vid? And try and get different angles of the noise and if possible use a long screwdriver or something and see if you can pinpoint it better.

Yeah that is a crazy sound. First thing I would do is pull the Valve cover off.

Have you checked the plugs to see if one is beat up or anything??

OK so I use the wifes stethoscope all over the head and block and all sounds fine. I turn a/c on max and noise goes away. I turn it off and it comes back. Then back on and stethoscope in a/c compressor and noise is no where. Then a/c off and noise sounds loudest in or around compressor. Possibly it is the compressor?

Yeah it probably is. Check the classifieds you can probably find another compressor cheap. That's a much better issue than having something in the head destroyed.

Check the pulley on the compressor. My gf's Taurus had a faulty compressor where the pulley was falling off. It sounded like hell.
