Help with new transmission

I have an 88 4cyl notch coverted to 5.0 my 4banger trans is starting to die
but i don't know what kind of trans would work for my application.
i want someting strong for street/strip but also long distance driving.

some trans i have looked into are the tko 500, 600 & t56
and also a richmond 5 & 6 speed

what ever advice would be very helpful.

Are you considering automatic or manual only?

The 5.0s came w/ T5s. All the trannies you were talking about would work (TKO 500, 600, or T56). You would need the appropriate bellhousing but, they are all common swaps for your build.
