Help with Heating/Cooling fan!!

For some reason when i turn on the heat, or the air conditioner.. the fan sounds really loud all of a soden.. it's never done this before.

Does anyone know what it is and how I fix it? :shrug:

My fan got cracked and jambed up against the rad and burnt out. The car just missed red line when I caught it. Thankfully I was within minutes of home.

Check the entire fan for any cracks or breaks in the perimeter. If it is cracked. DO NOT RUN IT. If you are within minutes of a dealer, go ahead and drive in. I did it my self rather than dealing with a dealer cause of mods and I quite frankly do not trust dealerships. The fan cost $135 through the guy on this site, Steve, who deals parts at cost plus 10%. Replacement took about 1/2 hour and I was back on the road. Good luck and I hope it isn't as serious as mine was.

Sorry, I mean the fan for the cab heat and air conditioning.. when I turn on the heat or A/C, the fan makes some loud buzzing sound

Sounds like you could have a leaf or dirt jammed in there. Pull it down and clean it out. If that doesn't fix it maybe it needs to be replaced or the door behind it is getting stuck and making it real loud.
