Ok I installed a autometer C2 electric nitrous pressure gauge and I'm having trouble finding a good wire for the red. wire off the gauge side.. I used the black wire for a ground and I tapped one of the wires behind the light switch that I thought would work for the red wire.. no lights and the gauge stayed at 650 psi. I compared with the gauge on the bottle and that was at 650 psi as well.
So i thought ok i can live without the lights but i turned my bottle heater on and the gauge still stayed at 650 psi so after about 10 minutes of driving around I pulled over and checked the gauge in the trunk.. that gauge read 1050 psi.. so I did a quick nitrous pull gauge in vent still stayes at 650 psi??????
Any help would be great..

I just went through this myself a couple of weeks ago.
This video will help you greatly. I followed it to a tee and both of my Autometer gauges function perfectly, as well as having the light dimmer functioning.

The white wire taps into the light switch purple with white tracer wire, as seen in the video at the 3:14 mark.
And the red 12v+ switched I ran over to the passengers side kick panel fuse box and used an "ATM Add a circuit" on that exact fuse in the video.

Don't forget to get an extra fuse as this fuse tap does not include fuses and if you remove a fuse, both slots must have fuses for it to work properly.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help guys.. I bought the 20' extension harness as I bought my gauge used and it didn't come with a harness at all.
The 20' harness had three wires going to the sending unit at my bottle in the trunk. And only had two wires coming off the plug that plugs into the gauge. A red and black wire.. I now have the red wire hooked up as the video shows and the black wire grounded.. gauge works great but no white wire coming out of the plug behind the gauge means no light. . Does anyone know which pin the white wire is supposed to go and what kind of pin do I need to push it into the plug so it fits properly?
Thanks again, Bill
