Help with cat-back exhaust selection needed

Hi guys,

I'm looking for some help with a cat-back exhaust selection.

1. My current set-up (in sig) sounds very mild (no balls) to me. I'm looking for something that will sound like it has some balls at idle and when I get on it, but not real loud cruising around town, oh and no drone.

2.Can I buy an LX type cat-back and just get the longer hangers? Does this look right when done?

3. What h.p. do you think I will gain with the change?

I have the stock cat-back on at this time.

P.S. I did search and read-up on the info but some of it was a few years old.

You can either modify the hangers on a LX system, or some guys used different rubber mounts that are longer to make it work.

As far as what system, it's all personal preference. If your looking for something a little different, try a x-pipe.

1. Flowmaster American Thunder Catback is the classic.
2. There are no exhausts that are made specifically for the '93 Cobra that I am aware of. I made a custom hanger extension. Best bet is to cut the hangers off of the old cat-back and weld it to the new one. If you don't do anything with the hangers you WILL ruin the rear bumper cover.

I am running BBK equal length shorties, Bassani x-pipe, and Flowmaster C/B. I like the sound.

slp lm1 catback is the best sounding (agressive) exhaust for a 5.0. First vid is n/a with mac longtubes, catted H, and the slps.

My favorite muffler on any 5.0 engine is the spintech. The have a very unique sound! I loved them on mine....I'm actually thinking about trying them out on the cobra here soon.

I liked my Borla Pro-XS/X-pipe combo I had on mine. They don't sound that well with longtubes in my opinion though.
