Iam a bit confused. I got a ticket for 27151(a)vc modified exhaust in California. The cop pulled me over and said that exhaust is too loud. quiet it down and I will sign it off for you.
-I swapped my mufflers to stock and got a chp officer to sign it off.

So i go to the traffic fine to get it cleared and they tell me it is not a fix it ticket. And I have to pay 215.00, so why did the cop tell me it was correctable and the ticket says correctable. What was the point of me fixing my exhaust if i still have to pay the bail amount?? Should I fight it? the cop just said it was too loud for him, he didnt look under the car or use a meter. Or should I go to court and explain to judge i got it fixed and get it reduced maybe?? any info would help guys.

you are in california .... pay the fine and let it go. Any other state and I MIGHT suggest fighting it. but the people's republic of kalifornia? pay it and let it go
