So I'm driving home the other night, and my speedo just drops to zero. Odometer stops working also. I thought, no big deal, it's the vss or the plastic gear. So I take it to my local shop today to have the vss and the gear replaced. He tells me everything is replaced but I have no signal going from a black box under the shifter to the pcm. He tells me it's probably a bad gauge cluster. Ok. So I leave with new parts and no fix. I notice on the way home that the cruise doesn't work either. So that tells me it's probably not the cluster. Any ideas??? Btw, car is a 98 Cobra with 48k miles.
