I have factory M1 wheels up front, and aftermarket deep dish 17x9 M1 wheels in the back (not sure of brand). The wheels were mint when I bought the car.
The car sat out over the winter, covered with a car cover and unfortunately experienced the elements. Lots of snow, ect.
This spring I noticed oxidation on the polished part of the rims. Unfortunately, the oxidation appears to be under a clearcoat.
Is there a clear coat over the polished aluminum or steel area on aftermarket rims?
How can I deal with cleaning up the rims? If there is a clear coat, it doesn't seem like an easy fix.....
