I'm trying to remove the C-clips off of the axle shafts. Everyone says that they should fall off after I take the 3 inch steel pin between the middle of the axle shafts out. However, they are not falling off whatsoever...any help? Thanks

Easiest way is to make sure the shafts are pushed all the way ( having buddy while you in the diff works nice) and then use a magnet to remove the clips.
As far as a pin, the only one I can think of would be the one holding the S spring in place......

I just got hte clip off of the driver side shaft, which is the broken one. Now I can't manga to get the broken piece out
magnet. The ones from sears.
Worse comes to worse you can drop the diff cover. It takes 10 minutes.
