I just got home and noticed that my brake lights are stuck on. I turned the headlights on and off, started the car, messed with the e-brake and brake pedal, looked for a lose connection around the master cylinder, and nothing wants to turn them off. I just disconnected the battery so it will not die.

It is a 2004 Cobra

Help me!

Since I am getting no love in this thread because everyone is probably asleep...

I did some research and saw something about a "stop light switch" that is connected to the back side of the brake pedal toward the top. I guess they can get dirty and the connections can stick together.

Any other ideas?

I took out the stop light switch and it looks like one of the washers was missing which caused wear on the switch that lead to it being an open circuit (stuck closed). As soon as I plug in the switch the lights come on. This has to be the problem. I will let you know what the outcome is when I get a new switch tomorrow.
