Well I noticed the other night that my car has a vacuum leak. I don't know how long its been there but the car runs and idles fine. The leak is from on top of the throttle body. Apparently there is supposed to be a screw covered with a plastic plug that screws into the top of the throttle body. I went to ace hardware to try to find a bolt or set screw to replace it with. I couldn't find one that was the right thread pitch, but it looks like its an m12 diameter. Can anyone tell me what this bolt is called or why its even in there to begin with? Any one have an idea where I could get a replacement rather than putting a regular bolt in it? Pics to follow.
