I did a no-no & tried the hammer method to try to remove one of the
rear tie rods from the spindle assy (I rented a puller but it was too small).
Does anyone know the threads on the tie rod (it's the one with the hole in it
for a cotter pin & attaches the rear "spindle" to the tie rod)?
Also, what is the best way to remove the rear tie rod? Is it w/the control
arms free to hang or loaded the best? Will the suspension just drop
if I don't have a jack under the LCA? I want to put in my rear MM diff
bushings & the tie rod is blocking it. Hell if
I am going to drop the whole IRS for that.
BTW...got the Kenney brown springs on & the front Diff bushing done.
After fixing the tie rod & putting in the rear diff bushing, next up the
front & rear IRS bushings. Can't wait.
