So i took the car to pep boys the other day to diagnoss this terrible idle problem and check engine light that ive had for some time and I noticed tonight(2 weeks later) when i opened the hood that this wire was laying loose. My car was dead in my gym parking lot despite having a new battery and my engine light has come back on as well. I dont remeber seeing this wire and im assuming it doesnt have to do with my current problem but id like to know where it goes.

Its just a ground strap that is attached to the hood, should be under the hood liner. Mine isn't even connected, doesn't affect anything.
its suppose to reduce interference for your radio when the wind blows over your hood or some crap like that. Its retarded, mine been gone for about 2 years now
