headlights are way to dim!!!! What to do?

I have a '99 L that i replaced the headlights on with the clear newer lights. I also changed the bulbs....for some reason my lights are just way to dim.:cuss: ...Hell I need to tape flashlights on the hood to see at night...:whine:

any suggestions as to what I can do? Any suggestion on a brighter bulb?

May be you put in the wrong bulbs or

somehow managed to screw up the ground.

I put 2002 headlights and tail lights on my 00 and they work great.

Check the alternator? Does the amp gauge take a strong load when you turn on your lights?

check the headlight wiring harness if your sure they are the right bulbs.. make sure they're not burned or charred..

You might have to adjust them. I know i had too when I changed the ones on my '00 to '01's. When I first put them on they seemed dim as hell. I took them off and readjusted. Good as new.

My 02 headlights were awesome, I had the same problem your having with my 99, yet my 00 headlights are as good as my 02's ever were and they're still factory lenses and bulbs :shrug:

If your not going to go with HID's then go with some Sylvania Silverstars.
