headlight harness keeps burning

i wired my boost gauge to turn on with my headlights and i also put some leds behind gauge cluster and ac controls when i turned on headlights on i noticed a black wire burning it goes bright red when headlights are on it dosent do it with them off so im kinda lost what did i do???

It definitely sounds like you shorted something. If you can post more detail about exactly how you altered the wiring and how you spliced in the boost gauge then we can probably help you a little more.

I put the power wire of the boost gauge on the wire that turnd on the headlights but I did find when I turn off the fog lights it dosent over heat

Where did you connect the ground wire of the boost gauge? Also where is the black wire that is overheating

Ummmmm. You've got a power going straight to ground, your gonna burn the car if you don't disconnect it
