Heading to the track the 20th. Suprisingly it will be the first time I've ran the car on the track since owning it. I always miss the track dates my buddies schedule but this year I can finally make it.

I was planning on getting some race gas and filling her up at the track after driving her empty or maybe siphoning. Would I be able to run it no problem with my higher compressed engine?

What are you tuned for if tuned?

If not you won't see any real gains.

1st, Higher octane is harder to ignite. Sure you can run more timing but if your not tuned for it you won't.

2nd some race gas at the track is leaded so be careful what you get.
O2s don't care for leaded gas. lol

Good info! I think you're the first guy I have seen here running mac longtubes. Is it gonna be a 1/4 mile track? Good luck at the track...:beer:

Yeah, its a 1/4. I'll post up my embarassing timeslips as soon as I get them.

Thanks for the info. No, the engine isnt really tuned special or anything like that. My area has a severe lack of decent speedshops for fords, and I have an intense distrust for plug-n-tunes.
